For ten years, the Producers meet Producers (PMP) program has been promoted to strengthen audiovisual production. Emerging talent and experience have come together again today, Tuesday, at the PMP as part of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia. With the help of the Sitges City Council, the Film Festival Foundation and the Productors Audiovisuals de Catalunya (PAC) association, 25 active audiovisual producers have shared visions and experiences from different generations, disciplines and territories.
The councilor for Economic Promotion of the Sitges City Council, David Martínez, participated in the inauguration of the day and assured that “we are committed to the Film Festival and also to the audiovisual industry. Sitges is one of the municipalities where there is more filming and, for this reason, we have created the Sitges Film Office website which will be active shortly”.
For her part, the mayor of Sitges, Aurora Carbonell, closed the celebration of the 10th anniversary by emphasizing that “in Sitges we want to further enhance the assets we have to attract the audiovisual industry” and added that “from the Sitges City Council we maintain our firm commitment to continue promoting talent and creativity in the audiovisual sector through the PMP. An initiative that reaches 10 years as a successful initiative thanks to the large network that is created between experienced and emerging producers who come together to share knowledge through film projects”.
The Producers meet producers program celebrates 10 years with a total of 240 emerging and consolidated producers who have connected and networked, more than a hundred projects and productions have been mentored, of which 11 have been completed (3 feature films, 4 short films, 2 documentaries and two fiction series).
