The professional meeting between consolidated and emerging producers celebrates its 11th edition within the framework of the International Fantastic Film Festival.
The Melià Sitges hotel hosts the eleventh edition of the Producers Meet Producers program, a professional meeting that has established itself as one of the most relevant spaces in the Catalan audiovisual industry. The initiative aims to connect emerging and consolidated producers to promote new film projects and strengthen the audiovisual fabric. The day takes place within the framework of the Sitges-International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia and marks the beginning of the mentoring program that will take place during a year.
The aim of the Producers Meet Producers programme is to offer emerging producers support and advice to create their audiovisual projects, whether short or feature films, documentaries, series, etc. This advice is carried out by producers with extensive experience in the sector and who at the same time feed on the fresh ideas and contribution of emerging producers.
The Producers Meet Producers (PMP) is much more than a professional meeting: it is a space for collective creation where production professionals and emerging talents share experiences, knowledge and enthusiasm to shape new audiovisual projects. The meeting also includes the presentation of success stories arising from previous editions, as well as the delivery of awards such as the Dossier award and the A Film Lab Barcelona award. The day ends with the masterclass “10 key ideas for a production company in social networks” taught by Victor Puig.
During these eleven years, the PMP has managed to connect 268 producers and has resulted in the pairing of 149 projects. From these collaborations, 12 finished productions have emerged (including 3 feature films, 4 short films, 3 documentaries and 2 fiction series), in addition to generating a solid professional network that has allowed projects to grow, strengthen links and consolidate the Catalan audiovisual ecosystem.
The Producers Meet Producers is jointly promoted by the Sitges City Council, the Association of Audiovisual Producers of Catalonia, the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia Foundation.
